Winner of St Andrews Prize for the Environment 2021

Snowchange Cooperative has won the prestigious St Andrews Prize for the Environment for 2021 and the top award of $100,000. Now in its twenty-third year, the Prize recognises global projects and inspirational solutions to environmental challenges. This prestigious award was made possible thanks to the generous support of alumni and friends.

SaintsFunder

This month’s spotlight falls on the SaintsFunder Support for Afghan Scholars appeal. It aims to support academics and their families or a scholar currently trapped and at risk in Afghanistan, by offering them the opportunity to relocate to St Andrews and re-establish a life here.

Congratulations and celebrations!

Here’s how some of our alumni celebrated being ranked number one University in the UK last month. Members of the German Association were holding their AGM when they heard the news – so they raised a glass in celebration! Closer to home, Callum MacLeod (MA 1982) played the Gaudeamus on the 27 bell carillon in Holy Trinity Church, St Andrews, broadcasting live on Facebook.
