Pay your tuition or accommodation fees as an undergraduate student
Updated on: 11 March 2025
All you need to know about paying your fees as an undergraduate student.
Calculate your fee amounts
The University of St Andrews does not send out invoices for tuition or accommodation fees. Your tuition fee will be advised in your offer letter. Your accommodation fee will be in your accommodation contract.
The tuition fees page and undergraduate accommodation fees page also show full details of how much you need to pay.
Your payment options
You can pay for tuition and accommodation in a single full payment or split in instalments. Payment or having an instalment plan is required to complete matriculation.
How and when to pay
Fees can generally be paid in one payment, or by instalments. Payment methods include bank transfers and card payments. For more details see:

Other ways to pay
If a private company or another organisation will be paying your fees, read the guidance for externally funded students.
If you are an international student who needs a visa to study in the UK, you must have enough money to pay your fees and to cover your living expenses while at the University.
