Welcoming EU delegates in St Andrews

On Tuesday 10 June 2025, the University of St Andrews welcomed an EU delegation led by His Excellency Pedro Serrano, the European Union Ambassador to the UK, to discuss the Scottish HE sector post Brexit and future prospects in light of the UK's potential association to Erasmus+.

The School of Modern Languages was represented by the Deputy Head of School, Dr PJ Lennon; Year Abroad Officer, Dr Emma Herdman; and School President, Kiera Martin. Discussions were positive and wide ranging, including recognition of the importance and mutual benefit of the Erasmus scheme.
